Well actually you didn't get R.P. overnight, it was there all the time. The mind plays funny tricks on you. I read in an article once that you think you are seeing the whole picture, but your mind has been deceiving you. It sort of takes a photograph of what you are looking at, makes you think you're seeing the whole scene. Once reality sets in, you become aware of the situation. All of a sudden you understand why things seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. Why you lose sight of objects that are thrown at you. You start to think back over the years and realize, that time you were running through the neighbor's backyard at night, with your friend, he saw that low lying fence, but you tripped over it and almost killed yourself. That's when things start to fall into place. It was there for a long time, and you didn't just lose a big "Chunk" of eyesight, that comes later.
